Antworks Pest Control Receives 2011 Best of Portland Award
U.S. Commerce Association’s Award Plaque Honors the Achievement
NEW YORK, NY, October 20, 2011 — Antworks Pest Control has been selected for the 2011 Best of Portland Award in the Pest Control Services category by the U.S. Commerce Association (USCA).
The USCA “Best of Local Business” Award Program recognizes outstanding local businesses throughout the country. Each year, the USCA identifies companies that they believe have achieved exceptional marketing success in their local community and business category. These are local companies that enhance the positive image of small business through service to their customers and community.
Various sources of information were gathered and analyzed to choose the winners in each category. The 2011 USCA Award Program focuses on quality, not quantity. Winners are determined based on the information gathered both internally by the USCA and data provided by third parties.

Ants in Portland don’t need to worry much about moisture…there is plenty of that this time of year.
If you have tried other Portland Pest Control Companies and still have ants…Call US!
Found a great Portland band called “Ants In The Kitchen”. These guys are tight! Went and saw them last night at the Prairie Bar & Grill in Brush Prairie, WA. Had a great time! If you like classic rock…you’ll love these guys. Check them out at http://www.antsinthekitchenband.com …If you see these Ants In The Kitchen…call me because I want to come join the party!
Ok folks…cooler temperatures and rain means Fall is upon us. The cool temps are a double edge sword. Yes…insects become less active outside but when ants become entrenched in the home…they can be more difficult to control. There are a couple reasons for this. One is since they are less active outside…it reduces the effectiveness of the treatment outside. If fewer ants come into contact with the treatment…it can take longer for treatment to take full effect. Two…the treatment itself is actually effected by the cold. It kinda becomes less sticky to the ant. We want the ant to pick up enough of the treatment to share with the nest mates.
I think the point here is…don’t wait until Winter if you are having an ant problem or it may be a long Winter.
Most other pests here actually become a bit less of a problem except…Rodents! Rodents have been busy reproducing during the warm months. As things cool off they start to look for a warm place to hold up. The good news is YOU can go a long way on your own in dealing with Rodents. Sealing up your crawlspace, making sure all of your doors close correctly…including garage doors. If you can see light coming through the bottom of your door…it’s not sealing correctly and you may get visitors. If this happens…you can call us because we also take care of your Rodent problems.
